Though it was a week ago already that I attended Pre-OCS, it seems like just yesterday. For those of you wondering what Pre-OCS is, it was a two and a half day event that was meant to give 27 candidates including myself a taste of what Marine Corps Officer Candidate School will be like. Over the course of the weekend we were given crash courses in land navigation, small unit tactics, how to give and receive operation orders, and much more. After taking classes in the new skills, we then put them to practical applications to demonstrate what we had learned. They also PTed the hell out of us.
